In the past few years there has been an increase in climatic incidents in the Northern Hemisphere which means higher cost for the seed companies to maintain a security margin.

Semameris implements a new concept called “18 month program ® ” in the Southern Hemisphere.

The main idea is to plant in September-October in Chile , harvest in April and ship in August for next April sales in Northern Hemisphere.

The goals of the "18 month program ® " is to decrease the risk of production and manage your inventory by reducing the over production.

The "18 month program ® " makes possible to produce in a GMO free area on latitude 36º. Furthermore, it allows Semameris to use all plant facilities and equipment , off winter production peak which reduces costs and prices.
